Honorary Consul Catherine Bonnefoy
Catherine Bonnefoy is a French-American national living in the Sacramento area since 2017. She is the CEO of the American subsidiary of a French company in the Purchasing industry.
Born in Paris from German and French parents, she moved to the US at the age of 6. She holds a BA degree in Psychology from the Univ. of California, Santa Barbara, and a Masters in Management from the ESCP Business School in Paris. Catherine started her career in Management Consulting for a US firm in Paris working on IT implementation projects both in France and in the San Francisco Bay Area. When family and children came into the picture, Catherine chose Burgundy to settle down and worked as CTO for nearly 15 years before moving the family back to California.
Today, as Honorary Consul of France in Sacramento, Catherine participates in the mission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris. She collaborates directly with the Consulate General of France in San Francisco, providing administrative assistance to French nationals either residing locally or traveling through. In addition to assisting in the protection of these French nationals, Catherine also represents France at cultural events in the Sacramento area while promoting French-American relationships, business and trade.
