Tour Sacramento by bike while testing your knowledge of French culture!

Unfortunately this event has been cancelled due to lack of registrations.

This bike ride is a memorial to late Alliance board member Jack Hildebrand. It will fund, in Jack's honor, a scholarship grant for a high school student. The scholarship recipient must be currently enrolled in a High School French language course, and be accepted in a student exchange program in France. This student will be awarded $1,000 to be used towards his/her trip to France.

Jack Hildebrand, husband of Béatrice Hildebrand, the founding director of the Alliance Française de Sacramento, was a beloved supporter and board member of our organization throughout its existence. Jack first developed his lifelong interest in French language and culture when he attended medical school in Brussels, where he met Béatrice. In addition to being a francophile, Jack was an athlete who had many sports accomplishments, including having participated in a Mt. Everest climb, and winning several triathlon competitions. He had a special love for cycling.
